Benefits of fresh farm milk over commercial packaged milk
Farm milk
is the milk that is attained straight from the goat or
cow or other cattle. It is full of health benefits. This milk contains
essential bacteria, enzymes and vitamins that will not be availed by you if you
consume the packaged milk attained from the supermarkets.
The milk found supermarket is flawed because of a number of reasons. The biggest reason being, that the commercial dairies do not feed their cows with the hay and grass that they are supposed to eat. Rather their cows exist in very tiny feedlots and are fed massive amounts of grain. This is not something that healthy cows should eat.
Conclusively, these cows are fed with antibiotics that indeed are passed on to their milk too. Some dairy owners add bleach in order to make the carton of milk, as white as it can be.
Even if this was not the case, the commercially available milk is pasteurized (heated) and further homogenized (step to break the butterfat). This means that the packaged milk is bereft the beneficial enzymes as well as the healthy bacteria that are lost during pasteurization and homogenization. What finally reaches you is dead liquid that causes more harm than good, courtesy of the presence of antibiotics and the growth hormones that are given to an unhealthy commercial cow.
There will definitely be people who’ll now argue that drinking the milk straight from the cow is not a healthy process and pasteurization is necessary. The real matter of fact is that the farm fresh milk is hygienic and is collected from a healthy grass-fed cow. Such a cow is usually fed on a small family-owned farm. This makes it safe to consume. Thus, the benefits of the cow milk outweigh the risks, if any. Statistically, an individual is more likely to contract E coli from the commercial milk than the healthy cow milk.
The source of the commercial milk is the dairy cow that has been bred specifically to produce huge quantities of milk for money. Sometimes, the quantity is far beyond what a cow can naturally produce. This is when the cow is injected with growth hormones that are also harmful for the body of cow.
So, what are you waiting for? In case there is a fresh milk delivery or a small dairy farm near your house, do drop by and sample the real raw milk and check it for yourself. The taste of the raw milk is also much better than the pasteurized milk.
