•    It is fresher and has the taste you love.

What all you need for Brewing beer?

For brewing beer, you will need many materials, which together can be termed as Beer brewing Kit. While some of the equipments can be expensive, you can get the beer brewing kits from any home brew stores. Below is the list with a brief description of what all you will need:

A boiling Pot:

The pot must be made of steel or material suitable to suites the property of steel; Stainless steel or ceramic-coated steel will do the job. Try to get a bigger pot; if possible get one with holding capacity of at least 2 to 3 gallons of liquid.

A carboy with a capacity to hold 5-gallon of liquid:

It is a large bottle made up of glass (it can also be made of plastic but for beer brewing use the one made of glass). They are mostly use to transport liquid. You can buy a new one, but if you can find one from recycle it can cut down some of your spend.

A Funnel:

Get a funnel; make sure to have a large funnel, as you will need it to transfer the wort into carboy. Wort is a liquid extracted from the mashing process during brewing beer.

A 6-gallon plastic "bottling" bucket with lid:

This plastic bucket should hold at least 5 gallons and be food-grade. You can find them cheap (or free) at many restaurants; ask the kitchen staff to save any extra for you rather than throw them away.

A Siphon hose:

This is a plastic tubing needed for the process of transferring beer to the plastic "bottling" bucket from the carboy. Once the process it completed, you will again need the siphon hose to transfer the beer to bottles from the bottling bucket. The length of the siphon hose depends on your setup, but it is recommended to use at least a 7 feet long.

A Racking cane and Fermentation airlock:

A racking cane is hard plastic tubing that is used to connect siphon hose for transferring beer from one container to another. Fermentation airlock is used to seal your beer from outside contamination while letting carbon dioxide escape the fermenter. It must fit in a hole in the lid of your carboy.

Bottles, Bottle-capper and a Bottle caps:

Use the sealable bottles. Old champagne bottles can be used. You can ask your friends to save these types of bottles for you. Bottle-capper is used for securing caps onto bottles. For capping your bottles you need bottle caps.

Iodine solution or Household bleach or something that can serve the purpose:

This is needed to sanitize brewing equipment. Sanitizing is a process to make equipments clean and hygienic.

Other point that has to be taken into consideration is keeping the brewing environment and equipments clean and hygienic. Make sure to start at a work place which is clean and sanitize your equipments prior to starting the beer brewing process.

The above article explains the material required for brewing beer. There is Home Brew West beer brewing kit available in market, which you can use for brewing beers at very low level; for 1 to 3 people. You can get those small and compact brewing kits from any of the Home brewing shops.
