Become a betting affiliate and earn big

by Kate Winslet Im a blogger by passion

Most significant businesses worldwide run affiliate programmes. They come in many different shapes and sizes, from the most basic referral schemes to the VIP affiliates, which has enormous earning potential for all concerned.

The sports betting industry is one of the most competitive around today, and it is no surprise to learn leading bookmakers run successful affiliate schemes. The best betting sites and apps enlist people just like you to help promote their service and offer to pay you handsomely for your efforts.

Sound too good to be true? Listen again. We have sought the help of a successful affiliate site manager to tell our readers how they can become affiliated with the biggest names in the sports, casino and lottery betting industries.

Betting affiliates explained

We’ll start by explaining what a betting site affiliate is. Significant bookmakers are involved in an ongoing battle with rival firms to ensure a continuous stream of new customers. They use welcome bonuses and enhanced odds to catch the eye of bettors. They also use the help of affiliates.

Anyone can become a betting affiliate. A simple way to explain it is you would be the middleman. You will drive new customers to a betting site, and you will earn for your services. The more bettors you introduce to a firm, the more cash you’ll make. The more your customers bet on that site, the more money you’ll make.

Set out your strategy

The first step to preparing as a sports betting affiliate is to decide the platform you intend to work from and how you’ll do that. As an affiliate, you are responsible for convincing bettors to sign up and bet at a bookmaker. While doing this, you are also a representative of the bookie, so you must conduct your business following their terms and conditions.

How do you plan to encourage bettors to join a bookie through you? Do that through a website such as a sports betting tips page or a social media field like Facebook and Twitter. If you use social media, the chances are you’ve seen, tipsters. These accounts are often betting affiliates. They give you sports betting tips and ask you to sign up at their partner bookmaker and place your bets there in exchange for their advice. You could set up a site or app, or you could run a social media account.

Once this is in place, you can offer sports betting tips, do betting site reviews, or run the month awards’ best bookie. In each instance, you ask your readers to click the link offered and sign up for an online betting account at that site.

All the effort of contacting bookmakers, registering as an affiliate, deciding on a platform then, launching your site/page and attracting readers is all done without pay. It often takes many hours of painstaking work to get prepared, and the only encouragement is you may get rich at the end of it all. You could, but you could also fail. Just like the businesses you are promoting, it’s a gamble, but one you are in charge of, and your efforts decide if it’s a success or not.

There are two ways to make your betting affiliates pay. The first option offered by most bookies is a flat rate per referral. Let’s say, for example, this is a rate of £25. For each bettor, you drive to the betting site and encourage to open an account; you will secure a £25 cheque. The perfect approach if you know lots of people with interest in online sports betting. Suppose you drive ten new bettors a week, that’s £250 every seven days.

Get commission on monthly bets

There is another option for making your betting affiliates pay, and that’s commission. Now, this is where the more significant money comes into play. There is no flat rate with this format, but you are paid commission on their monthly losses at that site for their betting lifetime.

The commission could be 25%, so you will earn 25% of that customer’s losses every month. You don’t require a huge number of bettors, just a select few who like to bet big. Note here you are paid in the customer’s losses. If they lose £1000 on gambling in a month, you get £250. If they make a £1000 profit in a month, you receive nothing.

There are more ways than one to earn through the betting industry. Becoming a successful affiliate is the preferred option for many.
