Beauty Tips for Black or Dark Lips
The problems of black,
dark or pigmented lips are not uncommon… particularly when every one of us
craves for pinkish, smooth and soft lips.
Why do lips turn darker?
Or we should say black?!?! Why such lip discolorations occur?
Some of the reasons can
be because of lack of suitable care and unhealthy lifestyle. So today we have
put forward some tips for making dark lips, beautiful again:
Say A Big ‘NO’ To Smoking:
All lip care tips says that nicotine cause darkening of lips
and its discoloration. Otherwise smoking is also known to root cancer and many other
diseases.
Drink Less Coffee and Tea:
Excess consumption of coffee
and tea can turn the lips black other than staining your teeth. Therefore,
limit your caffeine consumption to avoid your lip from obtaining a darker hue.
Minimize Sun Exposure
Sun exposure can also
cause lip darkening since there is a bigger quantity of melanin pigments in the
lips. Make sure that you make use of lip products having an SPF/UV protector,
if you’re going outside.
Check Out Your Lipsticks:
Excessive and prolonged use
of lip cosmetics and lipsticks, particularly lower-quality ones also can cause
lip pigmentation. So, use lipsticks sparingly and buy lip products and best matte lipstick from reputed brands
always. Make sure that you check out for the product’s expiry date and that you
don’t use expired lip products or lipsticks.
Look for just one or even
more of such ingredients in your lipstick:
Shea butter, jojoba oil, vitamin E and clarified butter. They can moisturize
your lips as well as avoid them from drying. Always remove the makeup of your
lip using a quality lip makeup remover.
Scrub Your Lips Using Natural Lip Scrubs:
Once every week at
least, remove dry skin and dead cells from the lips, and enhance blood
circulation. You even can mix 5 to 6 drops olive oil with 1 tsp of sugar and
use it for exfoliating the lips. Once you clean off, apply your preferred lip
moisturizer or healing lip butter.
Exfoliation:
Use Vaseline on a
toothbrush to exfoliate your lips gently. You can do this daily.
Keep Hydrated Always:
Keep your lips hydrated
and moisturized at all time. For maintaining the natural color, it is important
to maintain hydration level by drinking lots of water all through the day.
In winter season, when
we drink lesser water, dehydration is noticed. Ensure to avoid it by drinking water
in a decent amount. In addition, add in good water-content fruits in your diet like
orange, cucumber, watermelon, lemon and grapefruit.
Lips are more fragile
than the skin. Hence, they should be kept moist always to avoid developing
cracks and dryness, particularly when they can possibly increase the
possibilities of lips darkening. Make use of lip balms containing cocoa butter or
beeswax as they seal in the wetness of the lips.
Avoid Chlorinated water:
