Beautiful Skin Care

Even though our skin is technically just an organ in our body, when we look at each other that is not what we think about. Our skin, and the condition that it is in, makes an impression on those people we interact with. When someone looks at us, they make a judgment about how old they think we are and how beautiful (or not) they perceive us to be. We all want to be thought of as beautiful and young looking!
If we take care of our skin, it will reward us by having that "healthy skin glow". No matter what your age, a good personal skin care system can result in soft, smooth skin.
Types of Skin
The type of skin you have will affect your personal skin care system. Be aware that your skin type may change with age, climate or biological and hormonal factors.
Begin by knowing if your skin type is oily, normal, dry or a combination of these. Your skin care product choices will vary with season of the year and the degree of moisture and oils inherent in your particular skin.
It is important to keep the pores of your skin clean, clear and open so the impurities can escape from your body. Also oil and dirt which accumulated at our pores, if not washed away will cause a buildup of dirt and grime which stick to the oils on our skin.
Normal Skin
Normal skin is the kind of skin every man or woman desires. It is easy to care for, but does require daily care. Normal skin tends to have a smooth even texture that is clear and free from blemishes. Normal skin has a good balance of natural oil and moisture. It does not look greasy. The pores of normal skin are fine and difficult to see.

Dry Skin
Dry skin is prone to wrinkle, and may flake or appear chapped. Dry skin has lost its ability to hold in moisture. It produces very little sebum. Dry skin is especially painful in winter months because of its inherent low moisture content. If not taken care of, this skin type will age faster than normal skin. Protect your dry skin religiously with good moisturizers day and night. Click this link for more information about Dry Skin Care.
Oily Skin
You know if your skin is oily because you can see and feel the excess oil on the surface of the skin. This excess oil attracts and holds onto dirt, at times even making your skin feel gritty. Oily skin is prone to black heads and pimples. It is important to cleanse your skin, and use oil free moisturizers. Look for cosmetics that are noncomedogenic ( ones that do nt clog your pores). The Importance of a Daily Skin Care Regimen
No matter what your skin type, it is important to maintain a daily personal skin care regimen. Your skin care ritual must take into account the type of skin that you have. Each morning it is important to gently cleanse your skin. Use lukewarm water, never hot. If your skin is dry or damaged, use a super-fatted soap or cleanser. Do not rub your skin dry, but pat lightly with a towel. Immediately apply your moisturizer -- one that is appropriate for your skin type. Try to moisturize within 3 minutes of washing your skin. This helps to retain the most moisture. Moisturize again before bed, using a specially formulated moisturizer for night time use -- look for one that contains silicone as well as antioxidants.
