With the last season of Premier League being a roller-coaster ride of thrills, spills an epic climax and surprise champions, this year seems especially promising. The big boys of the footballing world, haven’t taken lightly to being left in the dust. This year, teams have undergone a major overhaul, and they are back to take their place in the league table.

Money has been thrown left, right and center this season for hiring talents of not just the players themselves, but for the services of prominent managers to guide them down the right path as well. With such amazing foreplay to the season, here are a few things to look expect/look forward to this season.

  1. The Big 6- Six legendary managers will be competing for the title with a plethora of amazing talent at their disposal. Jurgen Klopp, Jose Mourinho, Arsene Wenger, Pep Guardiola, Antonio Conte and Claudio Raneri will be going all out this season.
  2. Gaffer rivalries- Jose Mourinho has already re-kindled his infamous rivalry with Arsene Wenger from Arsenal. And of course his spite with Pep Guardiola is implied.
  3. Friday night matches- Another alternative to begin the weekend, rather than hitting the bars, or another reason to get out of your houses to hit the bars. Either way, Fridays just got a lot better.
  4. Mid-season sacking: With 39 mid-season sackings in the past six seasons making an average of 6.5 per season, we can expect just as many managers to get the axe this time as well. Who will get the brunt of it this time?
  5. Leicester’s place in the league table: With the Foxes pulling a stunner last season, it’ll be interesting to find out where they’ll end up this time around, and that too as defending champions. Not too many people expect them to make much of the tournament this year, but we all know when these guys are underestimated, especially Gary Linekar from BBC’s Match of the Day Show.

If nothing else, this year’s Premier League season is bound to be entertaining. So get comfortable folks, and watch the games unfold.
