Babri Masjid demolition case is going on in special CBI court on senior BJP leaders LK Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi. On July 23, senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi appeared before the CBI special court in the Babri demolition case. During the online proceedings in the special CBI court, the court asked 1050 questions to Joshi . He answered every question in denial. During the court proceedings, Joshi repeatedly said that he is completely innocent in this case and he has been implicated with political malpractices.

During the hearing, when Joshi was shown videos related to the incident by the witnesses, Joshi said that all the videos are edited and they have been cropped.

The judge showed a photo of the Ram Janmabhoomi complex on 26 June 1991 , in which Joshi is seen with the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Kalyan Singh and other leaders. On this Joshi said that all those photos are fake and no negative record of those photos is recorded. The judge also referenced several newspapers, including the alleged statements of former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani and Shiv Sena leader Bala Saheb Thackeray. Joshi also rejected them by stating that they were done to tarnish the political image.

Referring to the statement of a witness presented by the CBI, Special Judge SK Yadav said that after taking oath of CM on June 25, 1991, Kalyan Singh reached Ayodhya with his associate ministers the next day and said, " Ram Lala Hum Aayega, Mandir" The slogan of 'Will you make it here' . On this Joshi said that Kalyan Singh had gone to Ayodhya, it is true that everything else is wrong.

The statement of senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi was recorded in the presence of his lawyers Vimal Srivastava, KK Mishra and Ranjan. Lalit Singh, RK Yadav and P Chakraborty were present in the court on behalf of the CBI. The special CBI court is recording the statements of 32 accused under Section 313 of the Criminal Procedure Code in the Babri demolition case . The Special Court is taking daily action to follow the Supreme Court's directive to complete the hearing till 31 August.
After Murali Manohar Joshi's statement, the Special Court told his office that she will send a copy of the statement to the CBI office in Delhi.
