Autel Maxidas DS708 VS AUTEL MaxiSys MS908

As Autel release a new product, Autel MaxiSys MS908, many mechanics are curious about what is difference between the tool and its best seller Autel DS708? We have compiled a list of five main differences between them.

1.Vehicle support

First of all, the biggest difference is that MaxiSys MS908 supports more than 40 Asian, European and American car makes, while MaxiDAS DS708 covers 30.

2.Functions

Both MS908 and DS708 are able to read codes, clear codes, read live data, do actuation tests, test adaptations, but MS908 also can program ECU. As we all know, most auto diagnostic tools do not support programming. MS908 takes advantage of the advanced technology, featuring ECU programming and multi-task operation. The new technology allows it run 50% faster than DS708.

3.Prices

AUTEL MaxiSys MS908 is more powerful than DS708, but it is also more expensive. MS908 is sold around $2,950 and DS708 around$ 970, much cheaper.

4.Design

MS908 comes with 9.7” 1,024×768 LED-backlit glossy Multi Touch capacitive display with IPS technology. DS708 only has a 7.0″ 800×480 TFT touchscreen.

5.Usage

Ds708 does not have internal battery and should be powered up when working, while MS908 has an 11000mAh 3.7v Lithium Polymer battery, and can be used directly. Besides, MS908 supports USB 2.0, WIFI and Bluetooth connection, and DS708 supports WIFI and USB only.
