Australia Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List(PMSOL)

Australia has started back its journey towards recovery since the time of Corona Pandemic. Australia in its proposal for recovery has marked the necessity for inclusion of foreign skilled professionals in to the country with the purpose of satisfying the local employers need. Government of Australia has released their new Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL). In this list 17 jobs have been listed as critical skills which are in high demand in Australia. The list was prepared in accordance with advice and consultation with National Skills Commonwealth and Common Wealth departments. Australia Skilled Immigration program is designed to filter the right candidates for Australia.

The intention behind building this list is to help local employers fill in their requirements as early as possible through best practices. Any application which includes the skills listed in this PMSOL, will be given top priority as Australia intends to accelerate their economic growth and is in search for the right candidates on a fast track. Australia believes that this could enhance their chances to build the economic gaps that have risen during the past year. This in no way means that the other list of skills is inactive. Australia continues to process applications for those skills too. But PMSOL has been given high priority status.

The below are the list of 17 occupations that are part of PMSOL –

·        Chief Executive or Managing Director

·         Construction Project Manager

·         Mechanical Engineer

·         General Practitioner

·         Resident Medical Officer

·         Psychiatrist

·         Medical Practitioner nec

·         Midwife

·         Registered Nurse (Aged Care)

·         Registered Nurse (Critical Care and Emergency)

·         Registered Nurse (Medical)

·         Registered Nurse (Mental Health)

·         Registered Nurse (Perioperative)

·         Registered Nurses nec

·         Developer Programmer

·         Software Engineer

·         Maintenance Planner

Anybody who fall under the category of highly skilled professionals are eligible to apply for Australian Immigrations through their high efficient Skill Select portal. It is best to approach a highly skilled and knowledgeable Australia PR consultant for successful relocation to the country.

The skill select portal for Australia Immigrations allows the applicants to create their profile in the portal. All applicants applying through either VISA Subclass 189 or 190 Visa or Subclass Visa 491 are eligible for applying for the above list of skills. The profile thus created in the Skill Select portal will stay there for a period of 2 years or till the time, the applicant receives his Invitation to apply for Permanent Residency in Australia.

The applicant will submit his or her application through this portal along with supporting documents. The applicant can bring his or her immediate family when the visa is approved. The applicant and the family gets Permanent Residency in Australia through any of the VISAs mentioned. This holds true for 190 VISA Australia too.

Subclass 189 VISA is defined for all those who intend to relocate to Australia in search of better opportunities and better living experience. This VISA program is also called as Skilled Independent Visa. Under this visa, the skilled applicant can relocate to Australia and then look for job opportunities.

The other program Subclass 190 VISA is defined for all those who have earned a nomination from one of the employers of Australia. This program is also known as the Skilled Nomination Visa program. Such an employee needs to stick to the employer who provides the nomination for a stipulated period of time.

Subclass 491 visa program is defined for all those who intend to live and work in regional Australia. The regional visa is again kind of nomination visa. This program is most liked by both the immigrants and the employers. This program allows the skilled professional to move to the region from where he obtains the nomination from. It requires that the skilled professional works in the region for a stipulated period of time.
