Arlington Urgent Care Center Matches up with the Global Vaccination Fever

by Laura P. Consultant
The modern world should be thankful to vaccines. They have helped eradicate some of the most dreaded diseases, such as smallpox, from the world. Europe is today polio free. According to a report, vaccination prevents about 2.5 million deaths every year across the globe. It also helps to cut down treatment costs specific to diseases.

You can also avail yourselves vaccines in a typical Arlington urgent care center. These health care units that specialize in immediate care provide travel vaccines and carry out vaccinations through qualified doctors. They also perform immigration physicals.

Despite all this, several European Union and neighboring nations are facing exceptional cases of outbreaks of diseases that are preventable by vaccines. This is due to inadequate vaccine coverage rates. In some places, it is found that people’s confidence on vaccination has dwindled. Certain areas have no access to vaccines. These and more are some of the health concerns that pose a major challenge for health care experts.

According to World Health Organization (WHO), vaccine misinformation is one of the major health threats of 2019.

The European Commission, in collaboration with WHO, has scheduled one-day Global Vaccination Summit in Brussels on September 12, 2019.

About the Summit
The event will take place under the elite presence of the Director of WHO, General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and the President of the European Commission, Jean Claude Juncker.

The objective of this Summit is to provide political endorsement and high-level visibility to the subject of vaccination.

About 400 participants are expected to attend the Summit from across the globe. They include health ministries, top-level UN representatives, prominent health care professionals and scientists, renowned academics, political leaders, NGOs, and the private sector.

Three round tables

The Summit will feature three round table conferences. The following are the themes of each conference:

  • Round table #1: In Vaccines We Trust. The objective is to boost action to raise people’s confidence in vaccines.
  • Round table #2: The Magic of Science. The objective is to provide an impetus to vaccine research and development, and innovation in this field.
  • Round table #3: Vaccines Protecting Everyone, Everywhere. The objective is to stimulate a global interest in immunization.

Arlington urgent care center is dedicated to providing vaccinations and a series of lab tests, including STD testing, to ensure health and happiness to everybody. You can expect immediate medical attention in this center through well-trained staff and highly qualified doctors.
