Apply for GST Registration on MCA Portal

You can apply for GST registration as a Normal or as a Composition taxpayer while applying for incorporation of company on MCA Portal. Registration process under GST is now integrated with SPICe-AGILE Form. GST registration will be granted only after your company is incorporated with MCA. This process will be applicable only for Companies incorporated by MCA through SPICe application. Other categories of applicants, viz. Tax Deductor, Tax Collector, Casual Taxable person, ISD, SEZ Registration, ISD registration shall follow the existing process of registration through their respective Common Portal for GST registration.

How to Apply for GST Registration on MCA Portal through SPICe-AGILE Application Form?

Step 1 - Visit this link - http://www.mca.gov.in/MinistryV2/companyformsdownload.html

Step 2 - Download SPICe-AGILE Form under Application for Goods and services tax Identification number, employees state Insurance corporation registration plus Employees provident fund organisation registration (AGILE) - http://www.mca.gov.in/MCA21/dca/downloadeforms/eformTemplates/NCA/AGILE_help.zip

Step 3 - Open AGILE FORM NO. INC-35 and submit the complete information by selecting GSTIN "Service you want to apply for"

Step 4 - Done.

Note - Maximum upload size of AGILE Form should not exceeds 6MB.

How to amend details once you have got GSTIN Number?

Information related to Additional places of business, Bank Accounts, Authorized representative and State Specific Information can be updated by the applicant by filing amendment application on the GST Portal post grant of GSTIN.

Process of changing or updating the GST registration details

Step 1 - Submit GST FORM REG-14 along with required documents.

Step 2 - The GST officer will verify and approve the details within 15 days in GST FORM REG-15. The change will take effect from the date of occurrence of the event.

If GST Officer is not satisfied with the documents then he/she can serve a show cause notice in GST FORM REG-03. The applicant needs to reply in FORM GST REG-04 within 7 days. If the GST Officer is not satisfied with the reply, he/she can reject the application and pass an order in GST FORM REG-05.

Step 3 - If the GST Officer does not to take any more action then it is assumed that the information has been changed.
