Apple iPhone 7 shipments could be delayed
Last week, at its
annual September event, Apple released the latest generation iPhones – the
iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. At the big reveal, Apple unveiled two new devices
that were visually similar to the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, but internally very
different; and the differences go beyond the new range of colors the devices
will soon be available in. Among the differences are some back soft and hard
upgrades, including a pressure-sensitive home button, a faster processor, more
storage space, better battery life and an infinitely better camera
According to mana experts like SmartIO and more, Since its grand
unveil, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have been open for pre-orders online, with normal
shipping starting on Friday. However, it seems that the high demand is creating
some issues with the shipping dates. Soon after the pre-order opened on the
website, Apple announced online that the jet black iPhone 7 Plus would be
shipped in November. Also, shipment of other colored iPhone 7s could take 2 to
3 weeks. Unfortunately, shipping problems don’t end there. According to Nikkei
Asian Review has suggested that device supply was limited at the time of launch
because there were some backend bottlenecks due to faulty components. If the
problems at the backend are not resolved, the devices could be sold out soon,
without accomplishing much. Are you one of those anxious Apple loyalists,
sitting on the edge of your seats, with your content transfer apps, ready to
get your hands on the pre-ordered device?
That being said, the
new device, regardless of the delays and heavy price-tag (the 32GB device costs
approximately 650 US dollars), is still something millions are looking
forwarding to owning and holding. In what seems to be one of the most
controversial design changes since removal of the hard-keys from the mobile
phone (also Apple’s doing), the company decided to get rid of phones, iPhone
has introduced wireless earphones that go with the iPhone 7s and are connected
through the Lightning port, which is used for charging the device as well as
data transfer. Many are critical of the Apple AirPods - as they are called.
However, only time will tell if this move from Apple is genius or mad. In the
last several decades, only one man has managed to strike the right balance
between mad and genius, Apple’s late founder, Steve Jobs.
