Tablet industry has seen huge growth in the last 5 years. By the end of year 2015 more than 1 billion people worldwide are estimated to be using tablets. Moreover, in 2015 number of users of tablets have doubled as compared to year 2012. By 2018, the number of tablet users in the world will reach 1.43 billion.

TrendForce (Market Research Company) reckons that 75 million tablets were shipped in the first half of 2015. The market leaders in tablet industry are Apple (23.6 million devices sold so far in year 2015) and Samsung (16.7 million devices sold so far in year 2015). Apple and Samsung have stiff competition in smartphones market but competition is getting fierce in tablet market as well.

Samsung has great tablets in its product lineup. Samsung Tab-4 (7 inches tablet) and Samsung Tab-S2 (10 inches tablet) are still going strong. Samsung Note Pro has been developed especially for the enthusiasts who have a creative mind and like to perform task efficiently. Samsung Galaxy has a gargantuan 12.2-inch Super clear LCD that lets you see every single picture in detail. Apple iPad Pro is going to be a game changer as it is slightly bigger as compared to Samsung Tablet Note Pro. Apple iPad Pro has a huge 12.9- inch screen. Still Apple has iPad Mini 4 (7 inches) and the iPad 2 (10 inches) that fulfill needs of consumers who love to perform work and use it for consumption purposes (device used for consuming content ) on the go. Apple iPad Pro is a stupendous device that is targeted towards artists and consumers alike. Both devices are arguably competitive enough: the iPad Pro performs pretty well with Apple's latest 64-bit A9X chip, while Samsung still uses Exynos 7580 Octa-core 1.6 GHz to get the job done. Both devices start with 32 GB of storage and have maximum storage capacity of 128 GB.

Apple has followed a new strategy to target artistic niche market; that has always desired for bigger screen and require state-of-the-art -pen for making beautiful designs. The iPad Pro is Apple’s largest and most impressive tablet till date, with a 12.9-inch retina display and a processor which Apple claims is faster than 80 percent of the portable PCs that were shipped in 2015. What Apple is trying to achieve is pretty simple, it is changing iPad’s image from a consumption device (device used for merely consuming content) to being a productive device. It is now focusing on core productivity, integrated communication, portability and also having the necessary apps for target market. Apple iPad Pro stylus is great in design but it has to be connected with device itself for charging. In comparison, Samsung’s Stylus is a trusted accessory that people use not only with Samsung Note Pro but works seamlessly well with Samsung Note phone series. While it is hardly the best when it comes to precisely reading consumer moves, it is quite cheap and is bundled with the Note Pro. It is quite handy in managing e-mails, presentations or other compatible applications.

Conclusion:

It is very difficult to decide which one is decisively the better devise between either of the two. Both are state of the art devices that offer productivity and functionality.

With Galaxy Note Pro, a person gets additional advantage of having a Stylus that is sold along with the device. However, in case of Apple iPad Pro one has to purchase the Stylus separately. Arguably, Apple iPad Pro Stylus is the best that market offers and provides superior performance as compared to Samsung Stylus. Apple iPad Pro if bought with Stylus would cost slightly higher than Samsung Note Pro. Samsung Stylus was never designed to be an artist’s tool so it performs only marginally well in developing designs.

Finally, both Samsung Galaxy Note Pro and Apple iPad Pro are strong contenders for being a leader. Other competitors still have to do a lot of catching up to match.
