Apple iOS 9 Update causes Alarm Outage

If you are an iPhone user, chances are you missed your morning meeting at least once or twice this week. Why, you ask? It seems the latest iOS 9 update comes with a bug… one that automatically disables your alarm.

This may not seem like a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but considering the number of people who use an alarm on their devices, you can imagine the scale of damage if the bug goes unaddressed. According to markets experts like SmartIO,  Apple is yet to address this issue, but there have been reports from iPhone users from all over the world, claiming that their alarms were deactivated on their own accord. This is not due to the download of a game, a video or a content transfer app; it is not even due to the software update in itself. The issue seems to be when you choose the option for “overnight update”. The feature is supposed to allow the device to carry out the update while your device is in prolong sleep mode (as are you), but as a consequence, it seems that the software update causes the alarm settings to be restored or disabled.
