Aerospace Engineering Department of PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh organized Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam memorial lecture to pay tributes to the "Missile Man". A brief movie was screened about his life journey. Mr. Abishek Kiran, Mr. Agnit and Ms. Nupur Gupta, students of Aerospace Engineering Department expressed that they all were highly inspired by his qualities of hard labor simplicity and humility. Kishori Lal, Head, Aerospace Engineering Department Recalled memories of their own interaction with this great soul. Director expressed that actual tribute to Dr. Kalam is to follow his footsteps.

All the professional characteristics that Dr. Kalam owned are all the vital ingredients to get an astute engineering supervisor. However, it was Kalam's demeanor which really set him apart. In a world in which the power is frequently come across as arrogant and brash, here was a man, with insurmountable achievements in his kitty, who was as humble and down to earth as anyone could be.
