The little birdie from Film nagar says that Anushka will be playing an important role in Nagarjuna’s next ‘Om Namo Venkatesa’. Sources say that the actress will be seeing a deglam role in the film as Sanyasini. However the role will have a lot of scope for acting, they say. The movie unit is yet to make an official announcement about this.
‘Kanche’ fame Pragya Jaiswal and Vimala Raman are also playing important roles in the film. The makers have roped in TV artist, Surabh Jain to play Lord Venkateswara Swamy. Surabh Jain is famous for donning various avatars of Maha Vishnu on Television – he has played Vishnu, Krishna and even Rama briefly. Previously Suman is the obvious choice for Lord Venkateswara role but he has grown weight and is looking out of shape now and so the makers have opted for Surabh Jain.
On the other side, the makers are erecting a massive set in Annapurna Studios for the first schedule. The set is of various locations of ancient Tirumala where a major part of the film will be canned there. The regular shooting of the film will begin later this month. Nagarjuna had started growing beard and moustache. He is also going on a Veggie diet to sport a lean look needed for his character in the film.
