An essential tool for understanding gross anatomy is cadaveric dissection. Anatomy Laboratory contributes to the institution's teaching goal by serving as a large active learning space. They offer resources and administrative assistance to any part of the institution that requires an anatomy curriculum. Visualizing the actual 3D orientation of the structures is critical for developing true human body notions.

Most dissection facilities can accommodate ten cadaveric dissections at the same time. Animal organ dissection (e.g., kidney, heart, etc.) aids in the identification of natural texture and improves dissection skills. All students are given ample time to dissect.

In the not-too-distant future, formalin-embalmed cadavers will be gradually phased out in favor of Thiel-embalmed cadavers, which preserve structural detail far better.

Some of the anatomy labs resources include;

Histology Laboratory

The Histology Laboratory is a teaching and research facility that knowledgeable teachers and lab workers supervise. It includes the most up-to-date light microscopes with the most advanced features. Students use the lab to learn the normal microscopic appearance of human cells and tissues.

A well-maintained comprehensive collection of histology slides and a high-resolution image library are essential for educating undergraduate students. Multimedia microscopes aid in the creation of a high-resolution digital image collection, which is necessary for teaching, learning, and assessment. The multimedia microscope and projection screens in the histology lab are essential tools for conducting computer-assisted instruction.

It is advisable to equip the lab with a state-of-the-art high-resolution light microscope. The microscope will broadly be used in graduate program teaching and research.

Digital Anatomy Lab (DAL)

The application of basic information is aided by integrated high-quality radiological imaging.

For better clinical integration, the lab will soon be equipped with an ultrasound machine for hands-on training.

The state-of-the-art 3D virtual dissection tables are available in the newly developed Digital Anatomy lab. These smart tables have multi-view planners and high-resolution 3D pictures.

It provides life-size virtual reality, which is extremely useful for building 3D human structure conceptualization.

Dry lab

The dry lab is critical for teaching and also acts as a student's classroom. Dozens of anatomy models are set in the room so that students can use them for a deeper understanding of human anatomy. During self-directed learning sessions, students have free access to this lab.

Plastic models, plastinated pro-sections, and mounted body sections are plentiful in the gross anatomy dry lab. These specimens allow for 3D viewing and are crucial in developing the fundamental concept of structure organization.

 What if You Can't Make it to Physical Class?

Students who can't attend the physical classes should consider joining an online anatomy lab from Lt. Their online learning Anatomy lab collection includes cadaveric dissection photographs. Animal organ dissection films and images are available. You'll also find stylized imagery and anatomical model exploration, as well as extensive and detailed histology and dissection media for teaching and testing.

Pre-recorded videos and tutorials will help students understand, identify, and dissect when notes are not available. Find out more about the online anatomy lessons that include videos of lab protocols and procedures. Also, video interviews track real-life patients throughout their treatment.
