An evening in pink at PGA National Spa
It was 'pretty in pink' with the emphasis being on 'pink' at PGA National Spa in Palm Beach Gardens on Wednesday evening, October 28, 2015, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Introducing women to an entirely new concept of pampering and relaxation, Spa After Dark Pretty In Pink was the perfect event to accomplish this.
Entering the spa lobby, guests were greeted by the spa's friendly staff, both accommodating and inviting, sending them off to browse and enjoy many of the free perks of the evening. First on the list was a paraffin hand treatment with a heavenly warmth and giving hands a more youthful and soft appearance. The PGA Resort Spa's boutique was open, offering all kinds of clothing and accessories with a Floridian flair. Walking down the hallway, small tables of goodies, treatment promotions, brow advice and much more, caught the attention of all. A table of silent auction items was waiting for women to bid on exclusive beauty packages taking you to a land of leisure. All proceeds from the auction went to benefit Junior League of the Palm Beaches. Each event that the Spa organizes over the course of the year goes to benefit a particular local organization.
Walking further down the hallway, there was an entire room devoted to beauty products and treatments to intoxicate your senses. Pamphlets and products from cosmetic enhancements to body treatments to henna tattoos, hair chalking, hydra facial demos, hair care and skin care lines including the Dior team from Bloomingdales at The Gardens Mall with surprise gifts, made for a purposeful evening of repose and relaxation.
Pink cupcakes, servings of cheese, crackers and fruit, pink lemonade and 'pretty in pink' cocktails were a bonus during the course of the evening. For women looking to peer into the future of their love life, Deborah Graham, known as the psychic matchmaker appearing on the TLC Network, was seated close to the action and giving relationship readings to those who dared to look into their future.
The other big treat of the evening was the entertainment provided by the very special 'Divas in Pink'. Within a stone's throw of the Spa's famous Water of the Worlds, the fabulous Ricky Rollick, legendary Melissa St.John and the delightful Roxi Devine kept the crowd in a state of awe as they energetically lip synced to many of the old-time favorites of the 1970's. Dressed in lavish gowns and geo-retro dresses, they were a splendid addition to an enlightening evening.
For all those who came out to the event dressed their best in pink, the competition made for a tough choice, but, one lucky pink diva took home the grand prize of a special spa prize package.
