Amazon Black Friday Stats Show More Trend For 'Euro' French Press Coffee Makers

by PRC Agency PR

After an arguably 'average' Black Friday showing from Amazon, with TIME Magazine reporting an average 2.5% savings across the board... now that the numbers have been crunched and sales have normalized, coffee lovers will be interested to know Amazon's “Best Sellers" list shows a rising trend in French Press coffee makers, relative to traditional coffee brewers and 'pod' style machines... with a growing desire for 'Euro-Style' models.

A prime example of the 'Euro-Style' French Press is the Byzou French Press

Katie P, Co-Founder of Byzou, a provider of 'Euro-Style' French Press coffee makers who also distributes through Amazon, said:

“We saw a significant spike in traffic and interest for our French Press Coffee Maker over the Black Friday / Cyber Monday weekend and it's been ongoing... beyond what many other sellers were witness to, and even after taking into account the general rise in traffic for the Thanksgiving holiday period..."

She continued:

“... It appears the European Style of our French Press has captured the interest of coffee lovers in the US and that's obviously great news to us! We're still a young business so it's great to know our idea of bringing a little 'European Taste' state side has been worth the effort..."

Interestingly, despite the average Amazon savings over the Black Friday / Cyber Monday period being an apparently low 2.5%... sellers within the coffee maker niche have offered customers a discounts ranging from 15-60% in many cases. Byzou, for example, offered coffee lovers and fans of the Traditional French Press a 59% discount ($34 saving).

This comes as a pleasant surprise after recent controversy facing another French Press provider, 'Peet's Coffee and Tea', and news of their law suit for false advertising in mid-November.

U.S. manufacturers of French Presses adopted their own 'colonial' style, so the European-Style aims to bring back a more traditional style to the morning 'wake up' routine. The premise is 'minimalism and style'. So far the American coffee drinking nation appears to have welcomed the alternative, as the the European Style Byzou Coffee Maker hit U.S. shelves in October and has been gaining in popularity ever since:
