All you need to know about bond cleaning

by jyoti singh digital marketer
Changing homes or offices is an exciting and new experience. If you decide to move, you must have bond cleaning done or getting your bond back will be a difficult task. Exit cleaning is a term used to describe bond cleaning. Before you vacate, you need to clean the house and leave it in a better condition. Your property manager or real estate agent can only return your bond after you have completed these steps.

Several tasks may need to be accomplished simultaneously. As an example, you have to pick products for your new place and move your belongings there. So you won't have much time for bond cleaning because many things are going on.

No worries. Let us take care of it. A checklist can be made and the place can be cleaned by you or by a professional. What is bond cleaning all about?

Is bond cleaning necessary?
Bond cleaning is necessary at the end of the lease. If not, you would have difficulty getting your bond back. There may also be some serious issues. A landlord might cut out a significant chunk of your bond amount, for instance, or you might lose your entire bond amount.

This leaves you with no option but to clean up your bond. Even though it might seem like a tedious task to clean the entire place before leaving, it's actually easier with a checklist.

Get a checklist ready whether you choose to clean yourself or hire a professional. Prioritize which areas need to be cleaned.

Kitchen
Is the most important. It is a place that you cannot neglect. Also, clean the window tracks and cabinets while you're at it.

Tip: Start by cleaning the oven and cupboards. There is no sense in cleaning the outer space and then cleaning the inner spots, only to have dust accumulate in the outer space. Doing both would be redundant.

Bathroom
The bathroom should be cleaned thoroughly. Invest in proper disinfectants and other essentials and deep clean your bathroom. Wash your sink, mirror, toilet, and bath.

Make sure you clean the bathroom last on your list, as it involves more work and time.

Other Rooms
After cleaning the kitchen, move on to the other rooms. While cleaning the rooms, it is important to remove dirt from outside AC units, skirting boards, and window sills. Most people overlook these areas.

Along with vacuuming and cleaning floors, remember to remove cobwebs from the area as well.

Garage
Probably your garage accumulates more dust and dirt than any other place. Be sure not to disregard it.

Clean the entire area by removing stains and cobwebs.

Garden/Lawn
Gardens and lawns are often neglected. It may be a major hindrance when the real estate agents check it. Get rid of the waste lying around and trim the edge and weed.

Tip: If you always hire a lawn/garden cleaner, you should get in touch with them. If you don't, hiring professionals will help.

Swimming Pool
Remove litter and debris from your swimming pool if you have one.

Make sure you check your agreement for any additional requirements/conditions for cleaning the pool.

Conclusion:

Hopefully, you now have a better understanding of how bond cleaning works.
