All The Information You Need About Microblading Brows

by Marta Jordan Writer
Microblading brows  is a procedure that offers a defined look for women who love the filled-in brow shape look. The innovative procedure provides a natural look and instantly takes years off one's age. Moreover, it saves one from those frustrating rigorous hours to draw one's eyebrows. People suffering from alopecia (hair loss) and those in sports like swimming or tennis are pleasantly surprised at how the procedure naturally elevates their features.

One can bid farewell to dye or wax after getting perfectly microbladed brows. It is also a splendid way of achieving the 'open eye' effect, creating a facelift's appearance—no wonder why many Hollywood celebrities enjoy the process of eyebrow tattooing!

What is microblading?

The process involves tiny, fine-point needles making a small disposable blade to scratch and deposit pigment under the skin simultaneously. The process doesn't use a tattoo gun. It lets one achieve realistic-looking brow hairs that don't wash off.

Is microblading a tattoo?

Tattoos last forever, and microblading is a form of semi-permanent tattooing. A hand tool creates thinner, more precise, hair-like strokes that don't get deeply ingrained into the skin as the hair-like strokes made with a tattoo gun. The pigment is different from that of a tattoo as it's only semi-permanent and the dye particles are less concentrated in microblading ink.

Different ways of microblading brows

Feather-touch – Microblading

In this technique, fine strokes penetrate the skin to create a look that gives a natural hair-like finish. A blade is used rather than a digital machine. The natural hair-like finish is the reason for the term feature touch in this procedure.

Feather-touch – Nano strokes

It is a technique where fine strokes penetrate the skin to create a natural hair-like finish. The difference between feather-touch microblading and nano strokes is that the latter creates a more hair-like effect with freedom of strokes than microblading. This process achieves softness on the skin and longer-lasting brows without needing frequent touch-ups like microblading.

Powder brow

This look achieves a natural and soft look that is perfect for pulling off a natural look. This procedure is fantastic for the ladies wanting a more defined brow to highlight their eyes.

Ombre brows

Ombre brows are popular in the makeup artistry and tattooing industry. A softer shaded tattoo at the nose's bridge is created, continuing with a bolder brow for definition. The ombre brows use more than one shade for a captivating look.

3D brows

In this process, multiple pigments get applied next to one another, giving a natural-looking 3D effect.

Combinations brows

This process is an amalgamation of feather stroke with powder shading down with digital nano-machine work.

What to know beforehand

● No plucking, waxing or shaving of the hair is necessary before the procedure.

● Microblading is an affordable investment. The ongoing tinting, waxing or threading is not needed as the tattoo will guide the plucking.

● Rather than rushing into having overly thick eyebrows or liner that one might later regret, going for a milder look at the beginning is convenient. Thus, there is no room for error. It's always easier to add to a tattoo rather than having to remove it later.

● Do thorough research before the treatment.

● Always opt for a professional who is experienced and well-reputed.

● Hygiene and clinical procedures are the topmost priority to avoid complications.

Difference between microbladed and tattooed brows?

The process of microblading is not in the deep layer of skin. It is more on the surface, unlike tattoos. The method is also not permanent, and the colour fades and needs retouching. The hair strokes are more natural and more refined than any tattoo. A handheld needle or blade is the tool, and there is no electrical gadget that permeates deep in this technique.

How long does microblading last?

Microblading can last for 1 to 3 years, depending on the skin type. The oilier skin types tend to fade the fastest. One must go back after four weeks for a touch-up and check-in to make sure they're happy with the result. After those first four weeks, one doesn't need a touch-up for 12 months.

Microblading aftercare

Aftercare is indeed a crucial matter after undergoing the procedure of microblading brows. For a week after the process, do not get the brows wet or sweaty. It is highly convenient to cover the brows with ointment to protect the pigment and keep the cuts clean and bacteria-free for the first week.

When one gets tired of filling brows in every day, one must officially consider microblading. The process doesn't hurt that much and the results don't last forever. If one is on the fence about microblading, it's a piece of great news as the effects are temporary. Microblading is an effective method to achieve those perfect brows without all the extra effort.
