Alia Bhatt Not Doing Biopic on Pakistani Late Singer Nazia Hassan

The innovative Bollywood star Alia Bhatt had once expressed her wish to work on the biopic of singers. She expressed her desire to play the role of a singer on the silver screen. But after getting publicizing, she refused to make biopic on the life of the late Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan.
Alia Bhatt is not only a film actress but a singer too. She has sung many songs for her own films and she had got an opportunity to sing the song of Imtiaz Ali’s movie, ‘Highway’ which is composed by A. R. Rehman. She admits: “It was unreal… I am a bathroom singer, but to have the opportunity to sing a song composed by Rehman sir was unbelievable. This film is so close to my heart, not just for acting but for singing too now!”
A. R. Rehman asserted: “We have this lullaby, Sooha Saha in Highway..Imtiaz said Alia has a great voice and I didn’t trust him. Then she learned the song and sang to me and I was pretty impressed with her natural ability too. We guided her a little bit to perfect the singing. She did it twice and then we got it almost right and now it sounds great.”
She has formerly shown her desire by saying that, “I did not think much about it but I think I should do it now,” she added, “I would love to do biopic on Pakistani pop sensation Nazia Hassan who died at an early age of 35. She was a singer and I am a singer too, so it will be interesting.”
Later she refused her own statement and said, “I am not doing it. I was asked if I had to do a biopic, then on which person it would be, I gave this name (Pakistani singer Nazia Hasan) as it was on top of my mind.”
The question is if she offered to make the biopic on the life of Nazia Hassan then it will go with her? Has she been suitable to stand on the place of that great singer Nazia Hassan? Probably, the purity of both of these stars might be comparable by face. The late singer was undoubtedly blessed with such beautiful features. She has made her career as pop singer and produced enthralling songs throughout her life.
She was the first Pakistani who won the Film Fare Award. She has also won many national and international awards for her astonishing sound tracks. She died after a long-decade battle with the most severe disease, cancer on 13th August, 2000.
