Alberta is a province in western Canada that is surrounded to the west by the Canadian Rocky Mountains and to the east by extensive plains and badlands.  The Northwest Territories are to the north. Their closest southern neighbor in the United States is the state of Montana, with whom they share an international peace park (Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park).

In Alberta, there are nearly 500 protected sites spread across 27,525 sq km (10,627 sq mi), including 75 provincial parks. Additional 63,000 sq km are covered by its five national parks, three of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. More than four million people live in Alberta, mostly in Calgary and Edmonton, which are the two largest cities. With a total size of 661,000 sq km, it is the fourth-largest province in Canada (255,214 sq mi).

Despite being referred to as a prairie province, the region has a variety of land forms, including rolling foothills, rich plains, and desert badlands in addition to towering mountains, glacial lakes, and extensive boreal forests. There are more than 600 lakes and 245 rivers in Alberta.

As far as the language is concerned; the majority language of Alberta is English, but due to its multicultural heritage, it also has speakers of many other tongues, including French, German, Ukrainian, Dutch, and just about every other language in between.

Alberta Province Nominee Program

A small number of qualifying applicants may be nominated by Alberta through the Express Entry system of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) under the Alberta Express Entry Stream. An economic immigration program called the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), formerly known as the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP), recommends individuals for Alberta permanent residence.

Candidates must have the necessary abilities to fill open positions in Alberta or have plans to buy or launch a business there. Additionally, they must be able to support their families. The Canadian and Albertan governments oversee the initiative. You, your spouse or common-law partner, and any dependent children may apply for permanent residence status if you are nominated under the program. Applications for permanent residence are handled by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Final judgments on these applications are likewise rendered by the federal government.

Pick A Stream To Learn How To Be Nominated For:

Three streams are designated for workers, while four are designated for entrepreneurs. These two main groups make up the entirety of the streams.

To begin with workers stream for foreign workers who are residing in Alberta and working there or who intend to do so, the AAIP offers three streams:
