Aircraft maintenance Engineers also called Licensed Aircraft Engineers (LAE) and are repair, troubleshoot, upgrade, install and maintain aircraft components and structures like airframe, engine, electronic and radio systems, etc. The requirements for LAE are widespread and the career is offering very good opportunities to the students who completed the training course in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering

Many Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Colleges offer the course today. LAE is called “Certifying Aircraft Technician” in Europe and “Aircraft Mechanic” in America. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is a certification training program and it takes 3 to 4 years depending on the AME Colleges, the students choose to study. When selecting a college for doing AME consider the placement aspects of the institute first. An experienced LAE has a huge demand around the world.

The career as AME is a glorious one. There is a huge demand for skilled, qualified, and experienced AME professionals. After successful completion of AME from any of the EASA or  DGCA Approved AME Colleges in India or from any other country the license has a great value and wast opportunities are awaiting for the candidates. Airfare is getting low in India for common people to get accessing aircraft as a result of the UDAN Scheme and this, in turn, results in the requirement of more aircraft for people transportation. Higher the increase in the number of aircraft requires more LAEs for maintenance and repairing of aircraft.
