Air Conditioning Systems to Tackle the Coming Summers
by Airrite Mech4 Air-rite Mechanical ServicesThe summer season is almost upon us.
As the temperatures start to soar, it will become impossible for you to remain
in the home without having some kind of air conditioning. In the past, air conditioners were considered a luxury item
because of their incredibly high prices. However, nowadays the air conditioning
systems have become very affordable and are within the reach of the common man.
Still, buying an air conditioner is a considerable investment which requires
careful consideration of your air conditioning needs and options.
There are various types of air conditioning systems that you can invest in to
tackle the coming summers.
Split Air Conditioning Systems
Split air conditioning
systems comprise of two separate units. The indoor unit is for blowing the
cool air into the room while the outdoor unit is responsible for dissipating
the heat from the room. Split air conditioning systems are ideal for cooling a
small space. They offer quick cooling and are very easy to install as well.
However, you still need to get these ACs installed by
a professional. Split air conditioners are cheaper as well and don’t
have a high initial cost as compared to ducted air conditioning systems. These
air conditioners don’t make too much noise and work in silence. You have the
option of connecting multiple indoor units to a single outdoor unit too. That
is called a multi-split air conditioning system.
Ducted Air Conditioning Systems
Ducted air conditioning systems utilize a network of
ducts throughout a building for cooling purposes. Installing these AC systems
is a major undertaking and requires a considerable amount of investment.
Professional installation is needed to ensure proper working. However, the
upside of these air conditioning systems is that they can cool an entire
building instead of just a single room. So, you will only need a single unit
for fulfilling all your air conditioning needs. Ducted air conditioning systems
have a lower maintenance cost than split air conditioning systems. Also, these
systems come with zoning technology and can be programmed to only cool specific
zones of the home at particular times of the day.
