AIIMS PG Entrance Exam 2016

The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, New Delhi conducts the AIIMS PG 2016 Exam. This is a national level entrance exam for candidates who seek admission in MS and MD courses in offered in Clinical and Basic Clinical Sciences. The AIIMS PG Exam is conducted twice a year. The AIIMS PG Exam is conducted once in January and once in July. The official notice for the AIIMS PG 2016 was released on 18th August 2015 by the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The AIIMS PG 2016 will be held in the month of January first.

The schedule for the AIIMS PG Exam 2016 in July will be released in March 2016. The AIIMS PG Exam is offering admission in 150 different courses under Clinical and Basic Clinical Sciences. The AIIMS PG 2016 Exam will be an online computer based exam. The candidates can apply for the exam online.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates have to complete their MBBS 2016 degree and also obtain a registration from the Medical Council of India. The candidates can also get the registration from the State Medical Council. They must also have completed their compulsory internship.
For the January session the candidates must have completed the 12 month rotation internship or practical internship before 30th January 2016.
For candidates who want to appear for the AIIMS PG 2016 Exam in July must have completed the 12 month rotation internship or practical internship before 30th July 2016.
The candidates must also secure a minimum of 55% in their MBBS (50% SC/ST).

Application Process

The first step is to visit the official website of AIIMS.
Click on the link indicating ‘AIIMS PG 2016 Application form’.
You will then be required to fill in your details.
The application fee payment can be done online using net banking, credit card/debit card and SBI Challan.
The application fee for the different categories of candidates is as follows –
1. General/OBC – Rs. 1800
2. SC/ST – Rs. 800
In addition to the application form fee, the candidates will also have to pay the transaction fee.

Online Registration – 25th August 2015
Last date to generate bank challan – 11th September 2015
Last date to pay the application fee through Bank challan – 14th September 2015
Last date to apply online – 17th September 2015
Release of status of application – 29th September 2015
Last date to submit documents incase of rejection of application form – 8th October 2015
Issuing of Admit cards and allotment of roll nos. – 16th October 2015
Online Entrance Exam for AIIMS PG 2016 – 1st November 2015
Result for Online exam – 6th November 2015
1st Counseling – 10th December 2015
2nd Counseling – 18th December 2015
Open selection – 27th January 2016

The candidates will be selected based on their performance in the entrance exam. The candidates must obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in order to qualify the exam. The candidates who have qualified the AIIMS PG 2016 Exam will then be called for counseling according to the merit list prepared after the release of the results.
