Agra - The Land of Palaces

Fatehpur Sikri: Fatepur Sikri is also among the list of UNESCO World heritage sites. It was built in 1569 under the regime of great Mughal Emperor Akbar. During the period of 1571 to 1585, it served as capital of Mughal regime. With unique artworks and designs, it represents the infamous Mughal architecture. Constructed by red stones, Akhbar tried to revive the Persian court splendors of his ancestors but in the end it came as a brilliant classic Indian establishment.

Agra Fort: After Taj Mahal and Fatepur Sikri, the third destination that you must not miss in Agra is Agra Fort. Built in the regime of Emperor Akbar in the year 1565, Agra Fort is reformed by Shah Jahan to turn it into Palace. Initially, it was built by red sandstone but lated Emperor Shaj Jahan repaired many parts of it with peitra dula inlay and marble.
