These cases are rare though. Dr. Naidoo’s team has experience with complicated Invisalign cases and has even seen patients who were rejected at other dentists. He adds ‘some people are told they need braces as opposed to Invisalign but oftentimes this is not the case. These days with 3D imaging and the use of Invisalign attachments, most people can be helped. Attachments are small, tooth coloured bumps that are bonded to the teeth to better anchor the aligners to them. This more secure connection allows the aligner to create more pressure, thereby correcting more complex teeth straightening issues.
