If you’re wondering what Bluboo is, it is a smartphone manufacturing company that is based in China; and like most of its peers, it sells its products through China-based resellers. The company is in the news this time for creating the Xwatch which is a smartwatch that would come with Android Wear pre-installed on it. What is interesting about the smartwatch is the fact that it is expected to be rather affordable, making Android Wear devices more accessible to people. As you may know, most of the devices with Android Wear on it are too expensive to be win users beyond the early adopters, who have a significant amount of cash to spare.

The Xwatch was showcased during the 2015 Autumn HK Global Source Exhibition, an seems to be unexpectedly impressive from the looks of it. According to the rumor-mill, the smartwatch is expected to be launched in February next year, which isn’t too far away, considering the new year is just around the corner.

So what can one expect from the Bluboo Xwatch? Well, besides the fact that it will be powered by Android Wear, it will have a 1.3-inch 360 x 360 OnCell display, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Pumping life into the smartwatch would be a 480mAh battery that would be available on the inside, as well as MediaTek’s MT2601 dual-core SoC clocked at 1.2GHz. If you’re wondering whether you can use your favorite tools, play your favorite games or transfer data onto it using the different content transfer apps, you’ll just have to wait to find out.

Many experts like SmartIO say that, the Bluboo Xwatch would also include a GPS, a Barometer, a Cardiotachometer and an Altimeter. According to the information available the device would be 9.8mm thick, making it slimmer than some of its better, high-end alternatives, like the Moto 360 and the Apple watch.

While the price of the device is one of the few things about the Xwatch that remains a mystery, one thing that we can say for sure is that it would not retail at the same price or even the same price bracket as the other Android Wear-powered smartwatches currently available. It is expected to be considerably cheaper. The most exciting part of the deal, that would make it sweeter than its pricing is the fact that it will be available everywhere. Chinese resellers would be shipping the smartwatch all over the world, doing away with any regional limitations.
