Admit Card of JEE Main 2016 will be issued by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) for all the candidates whose application forms are successfully accepted. The process of application form began on 1 December 2015 and ended on 11 January 2016. The exact date of issue of admission card has not been declared yet but it is expected to fall in the 2nd week of March 2016. It will be issued only in online mode which means no candidate will be sent admit card in post or courier on his registered postal address. Admit card basically serves as an ID proof at the various stages of examination and admission process. Every candidate must bring printout of the admit card whenever demanded by the officials. At the exam hall, original admit card, a photo ID proof and its photocopy must be brought. The invigilator shall thereafter cross examine the details and allow the candidate to take the test on ensuring all the details have matched successfully. Even the attendance in the examination will be marked after producing admit card for verification. To download the JEE main Admit Card, candidate must access the official website of the exam or EntranceCorner and find the relevant link. On clicking the link, admit card download portal will open where details of application ID and date of birth must be entered correctly. Once the details are entered and submit button is pressed, admit card will be shown on the screen from where it can be printed or saved in PDF file format. It is suggested to take multiple photocopies of the admit card so as to produce later. No marks using pen or pencil should be made on it as doing so will tamper the authenticity of the card.
