Admission Details of IIST 2015

It is located in Kerala and is the first institute in Asia which is totally dedicated to the study of outer space. Candidates those who want to pursue their higher studies from this institute in 2015 will have to appear in JEE Advanced 2015 exam as the selection of candidates in IIST 2015 will be done on the basis of their merit in JEE Advanced 2015. Eligible candidates can take admission in Aerospace engineering, Physical Sciences or Avionics. This article is totally based on the various details required by the candidates to take admission in IIST.

Candidates those who want to take admission in IIST 2015 must note that there is no such entrance exam conducted by the institute, however the admission of candidates will be based on their performance in JEE Advanced 2015, therefore candidates will have to appear in JEE Advanced 2015 exam. The candidates with better JEE Advanced merit or score will have a better chance to get admission.

JEE Advanced:

JEE Advanced is the second phase of Joint Entrance Examination. The candidates those who qualify the JEE Main exam as per the conditions will be able to appear in JEE Advanced 2015 exam. Not only IIST but also various other institutes consider JEE score for admitting candidates.

Eligibility Criteria For IIST 2015

Candidates will have to fulfill all the eligibility conditions if they want to tale admission in IIST 2015. If candidates fail to satisfy all the conditions then they will be considered ineligible for the exam and will not be able to take admission in the institute.

• Candidates should first fulfill the JEE Advanced criteria so that they can appear in the exam. They must qualify it so that they can take admission. However relaxation will be provided for the candidates of reserved categories.
• Candidates must be Indian resident.
• Birth date of candidates should be on or after 1 October 1990. The candidates of reserved categories will be eligible for age relaxation as per the norms of institute.
• They must have passed the qualifying exam with minimum of 70% marks. This minimum marks requirement is 60% for the candidates of PwD, SC and ST category. Qualifying exam must have chemistry, maths and physics as the main subjects.

Reservation of Seats In IIST 2015

IIST 2015 provides reservation for the candidates of reserved categories. Candidates of ST, SC, OBC (Non Creamy), PwD categories are liable for claiming seat reservation. Candidates must provide appropriate documents to claim reservation otherwise they will be treated as general category candidates. These documents must be attested by the recognized board.

Application Form For IIST 2015

The application form for IIST 2015 will be available via online mode only. Candidates can fill the application by visiting the website of IIST. The steps to fill the application are as follows:
1. Access the official website of IIST.
2. Click on link direction to application form.
3. Fill all the required information correctly and completely.
4. Opt for course which candidate aim to study.
5. Submit IIST 2015 application form.
6. Pay IIST 2015 application fee
7. Send hard copy of filled and submitted application form with challan receipt to IIST.

Candidates will have to pay the fees by downloading the fees receipt. It will be available on the website of IIST.

IIST 2015 Admission And Counselling

The eligible candidates will be able to attend the counselling for IIST 2015 as per their merit. Seat will be allotted on the basis of availability.
