Actor Tom Malloy Is The Next John Cassavetes, Feels His Fans
Los Angeles, CA,( January 16, 2017) - An
award-winning actor, a WGA writer and a producer, and also the author of
the book Bankroll considered to be a Bible for film financiers, Tom
Malloy is known for amazing performances in memorable movies like The
Alphabet Killer, #Screamers and The Attic. For fans, the enthusiasm and
constant energy of Malloy equates him to John Cassavetes, the indie-film
pioneer whom he regards as his spiritual mentor.
Malloy has a
big picture of Cassavetes on his wall, with a quote from the man that
urges people to love any person who can make a movie. Malloy looks at
the picture every day, and clearly, it is a source of inspiration for
the actor.
His act in Hero of the Underworld as a drug-addicted
hotel manager got him several Best Actor awards. The coming year will
see the actor in three movies. First of these is Shattered, that will
see him playing the male lead opposite Arianne Zucker and Ray Wise. In
July, his second film – a wonderful film about the LGBT community, Fair
Haven, will premiere in Showtime. The final one will be #SCREAMERS, a
horror flick that does not yet have a release date. Malloy will also
co-star in Midtown, the improv cop comedy that is having its Season 2 on
Amazon Prime.
At 42, Malloy has no plans to slow down sometime
soon until he becomes a household name. He co-founded Glass House
Distribution, a distribution company that releases films
internationally. He also mentors old and young filmmakers to realize
their projects.
He is grateful to have reached this far and wants to move ahead with better roles and better flicks.
