UPSC or the Union Public Service Commission is India’s central recruiting company. UPSC Exam
For clearing the UPSC exam, you need to undergo three major steps. The first step is the preliminary test, the second step is the major examination, and the third and final step is to clear the personality test or interview. The preliminary test includes the general paper and CSAT paper consisting 200 marks. All questions are objective type and there is a stringent negative marking scheme for both these papers. The UPSC main examination includes 2 papers, general studies and optional paper held during October. The general studies paper further includes 2 more papers each consisting 300 marks. In the optional paper, you would be given two options to select one from. The first option includes 2 papers consisting 300 marks each. The second option includes 2 papers consisting 300 marks each, 1 essay paper consisting 200 marks, 1 English language paper consisting 300 marks, and 1 Indian language paper consisting 300 marks. The language papers are the qualifying papers for the mains. The next step is the interview or personality test. In the month of March or April, the qualified candidates are called by the UPSC. The interview can include anything related to the government, current affairs, basic personality tests, and anything else.


Latest UPSC Recruitment Notification
As per the latest UPSC recruitment notification 2017, the post of the junior scientific officer is vacant for candidates having post graduation degree in science. The job location for this post could be anywhere across India. The last date to apply for this post is 29th September 2017. UPSC has issued a notification for the post of the economic officer, superintending epigraphist, specialist grade iii, and junior interpreter. A total of 41 vacancies are announced for these domains. The last date for the submission of the application for these posts is 14th September 2017. Another notification includes 54 vacancies for assistant director, assistant engineer, specialist grade iii, assistant executive engineer, assistant professor, lecturer, and drill in-charge. The last date for the submission of the application for these job profiles was 31st August 2017.
