About NDA Exam Pattern 2015
UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) would decide up on NDA Exam Pattern 2015 for all the interested and eligible candidates who want to appear in the respective examination for admission in Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of NDA and Naval Academy. It is the blueprint of the examination and question paper. Every candidate must read the exam pattern to know several features such as – number of questions, type of questions, marking scheme, exam duration, subjects and sections, and overall structure.

NDA 2015 Exam Scheme
Question Paper Scheme
1. Section for Physics - 100 marks.
2. Section for Chemistry - 60 marks.
3. Section for General Science - 40 marks.
4. Section for History, Freedom Movement (Social Studies) - 80 marks
5. Section for Geography - 80 marks
6. Section for Current Events – 40 marks

NDA 2015 Exam Scheme
- Candidates have to attempt the examination in offline mode.
- Type of questions would be multiple choice/objective type.
- They have to mark their answers on an OMR sheet using black/blue ball pen.
- Candidate has to ensure that darkening of the circle is done neatly.
- Double darkened answers would be considered incorrect.
- Candidate would be given 300 minutes to solve the question paper.
Question Paper Scheme
- Question paper would be split in two sections – Mathematics and General Ability.
- Mathematics section would be coded as 01.
- General Ability would be coded as 02.
- Total number of questions is 270.
- Number of questions in Mathematics – 120.
- Number of questions in General Ability – 150.
- Duration of each section of the exam is 2.5 hours.
- As per the Exam Pattern of NDA 2015, total number of marks - 900.
- Mathematics has 300 maximum marks.
- General Ability has 600 maximum marks.
- General Ability section is further split into two sections – English and General Knowledge.
- English section is of 200 maximum marks.
- General Knowledge is of 400 maximum marks.
- General Knowledge has six sections with the break-up of 400 marks as below:
1. Section for Physics - 100 marks.
2. Section for Chemistry - 60 marks.
3. Section for General Science - 40 marks.
4. Section for History, Freedom Movement (Social Studies) - 80 marks
5. Section for Geography - 80 marks
6. Section for Current Events – 40 marks
NDA 2015 Exam Marking Pattern
- 2.5 marks would be given for correct answer in Math.
- 4 marks would be given for correct answer in English.
- 4 marks would be given for correct answer in General Knowledge.
- 0.83 marks would be deducted for incorrect answer in Math.
- 1.33 marks would be deducted for incorrect answer in English.
- 1.33 marks would be deducted for incorrect answer in General Knowledge.
- No marks would be deducted for question which is not attempted.
NDA 2015 Exam Schedule
- Date of the release of notification of examination – 20 June 2015
- Last date of submission of the application form – 17 July 2015
- Date of the examination – 27 September 2015
