Resting alongside the coast of Bay of Bengal, Puri is a temple city in the state of Odisha. Festivals & Culture of Puri
Puri has a vibrant culture. There are numerous festivals that are celebrated throughout the year. The Hindu festivals like Holi, Diwali, Govardhan Puja etc., are celebrated with a great zest but, The festival of Ratha Yatra has its own pomp. This festival is native to Odisha and attracts devotees from all over the state. The chariots of Lord Krishna, Sri Balarama, and their sister Subhadra, are pulled by devotees. Lakhs of people gather to seek the blessings of the Lord. The other yatras include Snana Yatra and Chandan Yatra.

Odissi is the major dance form of Puri. According to the texts, it originated in the ancient times and was performed by devadasis to please the deities. The Puri Beach Fest is another not-to-miss fiesta that is organized in the city. It is organized in November every year and displays the culture of Odisha.
