A * LIVE SmartSafety Tool launches Indiegogo campaign
Dead Zones pose a risk to safety in the mountains and at sea
Every
year, more than 20,000 people disappear in the open sea or in the
mountains, because no one noticed the emergency situation of these
people in time or their position was unknown. Only 10% of the earth's
surface is covered by mobile networks. Only there you can send an
emergency call by cell phone.
In the open sea the situation is
even more dramatic for a single athlete. There is no cellular network. A
connection is possible only by satellite. Emergency equipment for
individual athletes meeting the requirements for water sports has not
been available so far.
An athlete in need, who is in a dead zone cannot make an emergency call.
A*LIVE - the first smart safety device that nullifies dead zones
The
A*LIVE is about as large as a GPS device for outdoor sportsmen. But it
can do much more than to capture and transmit its position. By using all
existing networks (GSM, LTE, Iridium-Satellite), A*LIVE is permanently
connected all over the world. The athlete can exchange messages with his
team at any time, or make an emergency call. This works on the open sea
and even in canyons.
Up to 90% reduced rescue response time
Due
to the stable connection at all times, the rescue response time is
enormously shortened because an emergency call can be placed anywhere.
In addition, the exact GPS position of the location of disaster is
immediately transmitted to the rescue center. Rescue is thereby also
possible at night, on the open sea or in badly visible terrain.
Error-free application guaranteed
Connecting to ABS avalanche airbags for snowpeople
In
case of an avalanche, every second counts. If the avalanche backpack is
triggered, and an A*LIVE device is paired, it automatically,
immediately triggers the emergency call. As of fall 2017, the A*LIVE
will be available together with ABS avalanche backpacks. The devices are
paired via Bluetooth. Bluetooth also allows you to search nearby.
A*LIVE sends a Bluetooth ping every second, which can be located within
10 meters of the A*LIVE app, even if the seeker does not have an A*LIVE
device.
