A late evening and the punctured Bike
Being
a software engineer in a company earning a lakh is fun but when it comes to the
work pressure, I leave it to selling tea in a small shop. Not being over hyped,
I believe all my fellow engineers would agree with my words. It got mid night
in the office and when I left it was exactly 2pm in the dark night and the only
sign of happiness was that the next day was a holiday. When I reached my room,
I was all exhausted and slept right away leaving all aside.
When
the morning alarm rang, I ignored it very badly to sleep again. My roommate
left the room and I was in no mood to get up from the bed. After couple of
hours, the hunger put me up and I left the home to have my breakfast. When I
returned back, there was no power at home and when it came back, I was feeling
sleepy again and all my morning and afternoon got spent in a deep and happy
sleep. Skipping afternoon meal did not make any difference as my morning
breakfast was ample and in the evening I walked away to tea shop to smoke a
cigarette. While smoking, my phone ranged and on the other side, it was my
friend invited me to a jazz concert nearby in a mall.
Even
I was free and agreed to meet him at the mall exactly by 8PM. Got back to room
and had a sound bath to get ready with my white T-shirt and blue jeans. Shutting
the door when I went to my bike, to all my bad luck it got punctured. As I was
new to the area, I did not know any mechanic shop nearby and an enquiry with
neighbor also didn’t helped much. Deciding to cancel the concert opened my
mobile to inform my friend about it. As a perfect co-incidence, a notification
popped up saying “Do not push off. Get your bike repaired staying at home” from
Bro4u App which I had installed to book laundry service a
couple of days before.
So,
immediately I booked one Bike repair service and started waiting for a call
from Bro4u. After 20 minutes, a vendor called and said that he will be arriving
in 5 minutes to pick up my bike. Finally when he came, I gave my bike to him
instructing to get it repaired and drop back to the place where the concert was
live.
With
a start-ups like Bro4u, life in a metro has become easier.
