Goalpara is dotted with wonders of nature in the form of lakes, greenery, parks and hills; there are quite a few temples to visit. Shri Chaitanya Gauriya Math is another religious shrine in Goalpara, which attracts Indians and foreigners alike which were established in 1969 to preserve the Shree Krishna Chaitanya culture. Owing to the huge Muslim community, The 'Majhar'  of Hazrat Sayed Abul Kasem Kharasani is situated at the heart of Goalpara, which is visited by ardent devotees.

Where to stay

Goalpara offers very few or negligible options for the stay to the tourist. One needs to book at a place a little away from Goalpara, may be in Guwahati or Bongaigaon for a stay. Goalpara packages are also not easily available. You may check out for Bed and breakfast facilities there or just choose an ideal location, plant your makeshift camping tent into the ground and enjoy your stay on the lap of nature.

How to reach

Goalpara is very well connected by air, rail and road. The closest airport is Guwahati International Airport, which is 124 km away. The New Bongaigaon railway station serves as the nearest railhead which is 49 km from Goalpara and buses from nearby towns and states along with interstate buses terminate at the Goalpara Bus stand.

Best time to visit

You can plan for your Goalpara Holiday packages during any time of the year. But the winter months, between Octobers to March makes the best time to visit because of its sheer pleasant weather. Thus, avoid the summer and monsoon months to have a pleasant stay and sightseeing at Goalpara.
