recently conducted
a category for the Master Gardener chapter that
i am a member of on
creating bird-feeders utilizing natural sources, recycled materials and re-purposed

however drilling the holes
within the bottles takes
alittle follow to
good the
ability (and I still shatter
a number of bottles occasionally). This DIY, however,
is comparable and
needs no tools - drills, drill bits, etc...Supplies:
Recycled glass
bottle - it
should have a
rib cap (carbonated water, seltzer water,
seltzer,
drinking water etc.). Wine bottles (even if
they need a
rib cap)
will not work.

eight gauge copper wire (Home Depot -
but a
greenback per foot).
eight gauge
is simpler to bend,
however i favor the design of the thicker gauge (6 gauge). How to:
Wrap the copper wire
round the bottle.
begin at the neck of the bottle (I
create alittle loop
within the wire
to possess one thing to carry onto
whereas I twist the wire). Continue wrapping the wire
round the bottle
creating a hook or S
form at
the highest for hanging. -Add some "bling" (jewelry pendant, etc.).
Add
bird food -
suspend the feeder - watch the action!
