Operating Principle

The safety coupling works on a simple but highly effective mechanism. When torque exceeds the preset disengagement value, balls fixed in V-shaped pockets of the ball plate are pushed out. This forces the ball guide away from the plate, causing the coupling section and the main hub to disengage. At this point, the coupling enters idle operation, instantly cutting off motion. This prevents overload torque from being transmitted further into the system, thereby protecting motors, gearboxes, and other sensitive machine components from damage.
