Image 1.      Turn it off

It’s enough for now, keep some reserved chat for tomorrow morning. Put your phone down and turn it off. You will never get a sound sleep if you don’t take yourself off from your cell phone.

2.      Quick Naps

Feeling sleepy? If you can afford 20 to 30 minutes, just take a quick nap. But try to do it before the sun sets as late evening naps tend to affect your night’s sleep.  Also,  make sure you do not extend the 30 minutes slot as this can cutback to your sleep at night.

3.      Try the pillow trick

Have you ever tried placing pillow under your legs? If not, you must do it. It not only gives you relief from fatigue but also a natural remedy for sleep. Put a pillow between your legs and you will feel well rested which will help you fall asleep.

4.      Change the grabby bed sheet

Do you regularly change your bed sheet and maintain a good hygiene in the bedroom? If not, do not blame others for not getting enough sleep. It’s you who invites those grubby bacteria to do dance on your bed and cause sneezes leading to lousy shut-eyes. So, better be hygienic for a good night’s sleep.

5.      Set Your Body Clock

It’s time to recall our school days saying which says, “Early to bed early to rise, Makes a man healthy wealthy and wise.” While looking for Natural sleep aids, you will find this nursery rhyme on the top. This simply suggests you to set your body’s internal clock on a healthy snooze-wake schedule.  If you make this your habit, you will never find trouble while sleeping, unless or until it’s because of some kind of illness.

6.      Avoid Caffeine at night

Are you a coffee lover? Be cautious! This may be the reason why you fight with your thoughts every night for a sound sleep. Caffeine is known to trouble sleep, so avoid taking it in nights. As Coffee also keeps you energetic whole day, it would be better to drink in the morning.

7. Light meal

Do not overload your stomach with lots of Parathas and Pizzas. In short, don’t eat heavy foods at night as this affects your sleep. Instead of this, have a light meal and sleep wisely.

8.      Evade Alcohol

Alcohol and sleep are reciprocal of each other, especially at night. The more you drink, the less you are going to sleep at night. So, if you want to wake up with a refreshing feeling, do not make any plans to drink alcohol at night. Else, your sleep will have to suffer.

Conclusion

Besides this, you can also try some Herbal remedies for sleeplessness. They are safe and effective alternative of sleeping pills. Other than this, try doing some meditation and maintain good hygiene. You will surely be benefited.

Hope this works for you!
