Smoothies

Yes- Cold, healthy smoothies make the perfect recipe to use bone broth in. You may not expect bone broth to be a typical smoothie ingredient, but it’s the perfect liquid to use if you’re looking to add protein in your shakes or increase the nutritional value. Our favorite green smoothie calls for 20 oz of pork bone broth, ½ avocado, 1 cup of chopped cilantro, ½ teaspoon of sea salt and a splash of hot sauce. Yes, we know what you’re thinking… Bone broth in pie? And we say “yes!” However, not your average apple or blueberry pies. Pie’s best for bone broth are chicken pot pie or shepherd’s pie.
