by Nancy Jemes Blogger
Finland is a country of outstanding socio-economic culture with its natural beauty consisting of dense forests, towering mountains, and majestic lakes and it is not difficult to understand why anyone would want to move to Finland. It is also the home of Santa Claus.

Today, I’m discussing and exploring some interesting things about Finland that you should know before moving and booking removals to Finland:

  1. Finnish People
The Finns tend to be a self-respective race; in fact, it is not unusual to walk into a room full of people. For people experiencing the Finns for the first time, they sometimes come across as disinterested or unfriendly, but it is not the case. Generally, the Finnish people only talk when they want to say something important.

  2. Weather
This country isn’t known for its tropical climate; in the summer Finland can still reach around the mid-twenties. For the rest of the time, Finland can be cold with an average temperature of minus five-degree in the winter in Helsinki and in the northern part of the country. In Finland, it is not unusual for the temperature to reach minus twenty in winter.

  3. Geography
Finland is the fifth largest country in Europe. Most of the Finland country is lowland and approximately covered in forest. There are thousands of rocky islands with the main group being the Aland in Finland. In Finland, there are more than 1, 87,000 lakes and most of them are connected by small rivers. These things make Finland a country of outstanding beauty.

  4. Shoe Customs
In Finland, you should always take your shoes off before entering somebody’s house and even in your own house. Occasionally, you can keep your shoes on when you may come across a formal invitation, but in general, it is a case of shoes off.

  5. Vintage
Finland is a country of vintage-lovers and here, there are huge ranges of flea markets, boutiques, and second-hand shops to choose from. In Finland, buying second hand is completely normal and clothes shopping in mainstream stores can be expensive so before buying anything brand new they love seeking out the best deal at the local market. In Finland, there are many shopping centers which have recycling rooms where you can pick up clothes for free and leave ones you don’t need for other people.

These are some important and interesting things that you should know before moving to Finland. This country is basically like London but with more personal space. In Finland, if you want to be friends with someone, an incident has to occur. So, plan your removals to Finland and start enjoying a new and interesting place.
