All our emotional, mental, and physical habits describe our personality. Personality is something that tells the viewers how and what the individual is all about. Also, it distinguishes one individual from another. The attitude that you acquire at the early stage of your lives is strengthened and converted into your personality by the time you reach adulthood. However, this is not your permanent personality. You can alter certain traits in your personality as per your needs as an adult. If certain job profile requirements do not match with your personality, then you can change it. Personality is usually assessed in detail in the SSB interview. Read below to know some of the major personality traits that you need to develop for passing the SSB interview.

What personality traits should a candidate develop to pass SSB Interview?

Since you can alter some traits in your personality, you should take a look at some of the major traits that the SSB interviewer would expect in you. Mentioned below are the 5 major personality traits required for passing SSB interview:
·    Speaking Ability & Power Of Expressions: As an interviewee, you need to be absolutely sure of what you are speaking in your interview. The way you express your views or answer a question would be closely surveilled. Your grammar, vocabulary, fluency, projection, diction, and logic would be assessed by the interviewer in a SSB interview.
·    Appearance: In a SSB interview, your first impression would be your take off point and if the first impression is not good enough, you would have to strive hard to change the first impression of the Interviewing Officer. Your appearance includes the grooming, body language and overall bearing. Make sure you make a good impression by appearing like a professional in your interview.
·    Interests & Participations: The SSB interviewer will listen to your interests keenly. He/she would be interested in knowing about how many activities you have participated into. Each of your achievements would be counted. The interests and participations are asked to assess your attitude of acquisitiveness, the adventurous spirit in you and dedication towards your passions.
·    Academic Achievements: These are important but are not the most overbearing aspect of your interview. The interviewing officer would be more inclined to assess your actual learning and its practical application. Candidate must identify the problem areas in his/her academic graph and prepare their logical and acceptable answers in advance.
·    Motivation: Defence Forces require a highly motivated candidate who is always ready for undertaking several tasks. You should be determined about your military goals and that should be evident in the way you express your thoughts.
If you have all of these personality traits, then you are good to go. And if you don’t have them, then no worries! Take your time to develop these traits within you before taking the SSB Interview.
