Beauty, they say, is skin deep and for that one purpose alone everyone wants healthy skin. It’s a cosmetic thing, but when the weather just isn’t doing you any favors here’s how you go about trying to keep yourself glowing with these inexpensive everyday tips.

There are certain food items that are beneficial to your skin staying healthy, and these few foods are proven to be beneficial to not just your body but your skin as well. They are, in no particular order of importance:


Good old H2O is the best way to replenish your body and skin. Ok, so it’s a liquid and doesn’t qualify as food, so what? It helps clear toxins and keep your system clean, which means beautiful skin for you, which is all that matters.


They not only make for excellent cheesecakes but are also rich in antioxidants, amongst the highest counts of them in any food substance and a handful of these a day will do your skin a world of good.


Walnuts contain fatty acids (don’t frown upon it) and that is just what your skin needs to keep itself in tip-top condition. As if that weren’t enough, it also makes your skin more youthful by keeping it supple thanks to the many vital supplements it has to offer.

Ok, so we’ve gone and picked yet another liquid in this list. So what? The benefits of green tea are well-documented and immensely beneficial. In case you didn’t know, it is a rich source of polyphenols and aids metabolism, which is without even making a mention of its anti inflammatory properties.

Whole Wheat Bread:

Manna for some, a no go for others, whole wheat has a love-it-or-leave-it flavor that not everyone can handle. But it is a rich source of selenium which is a mineral proven to be of benefit to the skin and, in some cases as proven by research, even assists in the repair of damaged skin cells.
