4 Myths About Bed & Breakfast Accommodation
Bed and breakfast facilities are essentially establishments offering overnight accommodation along with a continental or cooked breakfast, as per preferences of the guest. Besides having different types of bedrooms for clients to choose from, a typical Kojonup bed and breakfast often includes lounge room, dining space, sitting area, barbecue area and garden. Despite of the fact that they enjoy considerable preference from tourists and travellers, bed and breakfasts have a number of myths associated with them. Let’s dispel a few of the major ones:
B&Bs Are Expensive and Fancy :
Because bed and breakfast accommodations offer a high level of relaxation and comfort, they are assumed by many people to be costly. It can be true at times, but when compared to the high rates and low quality service of hotels, the amount charged by a B&B will seem to be worth every penny. Besides that, services like free WiFi, laundry & kitchen facilities, discounts on long stays and excellently prepared breakfast are not always provided by hotels.
Bed & Breakfast Accommodations Are Not For Business Travelers :
A few decades ago, this would have been true. But now, many B&B facilities cater to people travelling for business purposes in small towns as well as large cities. Their rates are also cheaper compared to those of corporate accommodation facilities. Many business travellers consider this as an extra incentive, which helps them in sticking to a pre-determined budget.
B&B Facilities Offer No Privacy :
This myth is not only ridiculous, but also entirely false and pointless. Bed and breakfast facilities are always situated in places with a calm and romantic setting. For ensuring a high level of privacy, many of them are also built with additional insulation between their floors and rooms.
A Bed & Breakfast Always Has Shared Toilets And Bathrooms :
Shared bathrooms have been the hallmark of B&B experience, ever since older residences had one bathroom for serving a whole floor of bedrooms. It is still quite common in modern bed and breakfasts, but most facilities have a separate bathroom for their en suite rooms. However, the toilets have never been shared. There is always a separate toilet for each and every room. In addition to that, the bathrooms are generally equipped with amenities such as shower, clawfoot bathtub and double sink.
Thus, we see that bed and breakfast facilities are not really like what some people tend to think of them. In fact, they are one of the most comfortable and peaceful accommodation options.
