by Spall Associates Best Architects in Gurgaon & Top Architects in Del
If you ask the best architects in Gurgaon what inspires them to create the most beautiful and amazing building, then most of them will name the ancient structures of Delhi. These heritage monuments have not only been the inspiration of aspirants but are also the pride of our country. Today, we are talking about such 4 architectural wonders that every architect must visit once:

Qutub Minar

Let’s start the list with the tallest tower in the world - Qutub Minar. The place which preens itself for grabbing the 39th position in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The moment you will step in the premises, you will be thrilled by the sight of Indo-Islamic architectural work. The place has been on the must-visit list of many domestic and international tourists and witnesses thousands of travellers flooding every year. You can see the famous towering looming over your head from a distance. There are several complexes to visit, including Khilji Gate, Quwattul Islam Mosque, Iltutmish Tomb, all of these create a historical retreat for all the tourists who walk in here.

Red Fort

We are certain that all the architects in Gurgaon must have seen the Red Fort and have been mesmerized by its structure and architecture. It is too huge, isn’t it? Well, Mughals were known to pay great attention to every detail while building their monuments and this fort is surely not an exception. From Sheesh mahal to Hamam to Lahori Gate to Hira Mahal to Diwan-i-Aam and Diwan-i-Khas, every structure is the testimony to the brilliant architectural talent that artists of that time possessed and also to the royal life that Mughals lived. The architecture of this for combines Hindu, Persian and Timurid styles throughout. Here is a fun fact about Red Fort - Do you know that it was once white? Yes, it was originally plastered with lime but after it began to peel off, the Britishers painted it red. You can visit Zeenat Mahal which has been turned into mini-museum that displays clothes, letters and utensils of that period.

Humayun’s Tomb

If you haven’t visited Humayun’s Tomb, then we would recommend you to plan your trip soon. This place is has been an inspiration for many aspirant architectures for years and the greatest example is Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. The main architect of this building is Mirak Mirza Ghiyas who was from Persia. It was built in the memory of Humayun and other Mughals, approximately 160 of them are buried here. The designs and tombs beautifully capture Mughal style. The land is about 25 acres with the tomb and fours-squared garden which has been divided into 36 squares. It is the first garden-tomb monument in the Indian Subcontinent with Char Bagh being the symbol of Persian architecture style. This structure was also a refugee camp for almost five years during India and Pakistan partition and faced a lot of damage to infrastructure at that time.

Jama Masjid

I have worked with the best architects in Gurgaon and all of them seem to be inspired by this structure for its magnificent designs and work. The courtyard which is made of sandstone with marble strips that indicates the prayer position can hold 25,000 devotees. It was Shah Jahan who started the construction of Jama Masjid after changing his capital from Agra to Shahjahanabad, now known as Old Delhi. If you have a look at the interiors, you will realize that it resembles that of Jama Masjid in Agra. It took 6 years to complete the construction with sandstone and marble with around 6000 workers employed.

We know that after reading about these places, you can’t wait to have a look at these marvels yourself. Well, then we know what you are going to do next weekend. Trust us, you will be inspired by the art and skills of these monuments the same way the architects in Gurgaon has been for years.
