4 Industrial Uses of Stainless Steel - Infographic

by Kristen White Blogger

Now, the use of stainless steel in the automotive industry is increasing rapidly. It is mostly used in trim and grills, car exhaust systems, but environmental concerns and new emission reduction standards are driving manufacturers to favor stainless steel in structural components too.

Stainless steel is recyclable, easy to sterilize, and used in many applications. Unlike other steel, stainless steel isn't prone to corrosion, rusting, or staining with exposure to water. It has good structural properties and low maintenance; pressure vessels are commonly manufactured from stainless steel. So, with the added advantage of corrosion resistance, it is also used in the brewing and food manufacturing industry. Many power generation plants require corrosive resistant and durable metals. Due to its corrosive resistant properties, stainless steel is extensively used in various types of power generation plants too. Check out this infographic that highlights some major uses of stainless steel.
