4 easy-to-make healthy recipes with olive oil

Today, we have surrendered ourselves to an unhealthy lifestyle that includes unhealthy food habits, physical inactivity, sleep deprivation, longer hours with the technology and what not. The significance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle is known to all of us and the main element that can contribute to a better health is our food habit. Vegetable Salad

Ingredients

Fresh vegetables – Peeled and Chopped Cucumber, chopped red and yellow bell peppers, chopped radishes, chopped green onion and tomato, garlic cloves and lettuce leaves.

Olive oil

Salt

Pepper

Lemon juice

Pomegranate juice

Direction

Take a frying pan, brush 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil in it and heat for 20 seconds at a medium flame. Now, put the chopped vegetables on the frying pan and toss for 2-3 minutes. Take a large bowl and put the sauteed vegetables along with the lemon juice, pomegranate juice, salt and pepper. Whisk the entire ingredients for 2-3 minutes and dribble some more olive oil in it. Your vegetable salad is all ready to be served.

Fruit Salad

Ingredient

Fresh chopped fruits (of your choice)

Olive oil

Orange juice

Lemon juice

Pomegranate juice

Pineapple juice

Chaat masala

Direction

Take a large bowl and brush some olive oil in it. Now, put the chopped fruits into the bowl and dribble 4 tablespoons of orange, pineapple and pomegranate juice in it. Whisk well. Now, pour 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and olive oil. Sprinkle some chaat masala and mix well. Refrigerate for 30 minutes and enjoy with a fresh glass of your favourite juice.

Carrot soup (Roasted)

Ingredients

Large carrots (peeled and chopped)

Olive oil

Ginger (Peeled and chopped )

Vegetable stock

Sweet onion

Chopped Garlic Cloves

Black pepper

Direction

Broil the peeled and chopped carrots for 15-20 minutes with some olive oil and salt sprinkled in it. Now, take a large saucepan and add the vegetable stock, ginger and a little salt to it and bring to boil. Take another frying pan and saute the chopped onion and garlic cloves with some olive oil for 5 minutes at a low flame. Now, mix the carrots and sauteed onion with the vegetable stock and boil till the carrots soften enough to make a puree. Now, use a hand blender or an electric blender to smoothen the mixture. Sprinkle some olive oil, salt and black pepper. Serve hot!
