Layer 2 control planes (25%)

In this section, candidate need to learn about fast convergence, down detection, interface dampening and spanning tree types.

 

Layer 3 control planes (37%)

Section 2 consists of route aggregation concepts and techniques. It also teaches purpose of route aggregation, leak routes, aggregation location and techniques etc.

 

Network virtualization (17%)

It consist of layer 2 and layer 3 tunneling technologies, routing policy, redistribution method, interaction between protocols and topologies etc.

 

Design considerations (20%)

It includes designing techniques.

 

There are 90 to 110 questions in the exam. Candidate is given 2 hour to attempt the exam. Test is available in English language only. Registration can be done through Pearson VUE.
